What Palin Said and What Palin Did Are Two Different Things
Watching CNN last night I saw some things that troubled me about Palin’s record. First off, the bridge to nowhere. Yes, she did cancel the that bridge, but not the money. According to CNN’s Anderson Cooper the money for that bridge went to other, unspecified Alaskan projects. Not only that, but according to the President of the State Senate, a Republican, supporting the bridge was one of her major platforms when she ran for Governor. Second, the story that the plane that was sold on e-bay. Yes it was put on e-bay, but not sold there, certainly not for a profit, and not by her. The plane was sold through a broker thru the legislature for 2.1 million, a loss of $600,000. Now the new owner of the plane says he is owed some $50,000 by the state because the plane had some mechanical issues that he was not told about. As far as reform goes, according to the President of the State Senate, once again a Republican, reform had already started before she took office, she just grabbed the coat tails and ran with it. Appears her record doesn’t match what she or McCain says. Just another example of the same old same old from the Republicans. Do we really need 4 more years of lies to the American people?
